Maths
We will continue our work on shape, including exploring properties, patterns and symmetry. We will then move on to multiplication and division, emphasising how they link to each other. Children will be introduced to the formal symbols for these operations and will be encouraged to practise mental recall of taught facts. Division is taught in the contexts of grouping and sharing and practical manipulatives will be used regularly, until children are confident without them. When we have finished work on these operations, we will start to look at money, which will continue into the next half term.
All children have access to 2, 5 and 10 times tables on TTRS. Please encourage your child to access this regulalry. Numbots is still available to all children, but most children should be accessing TTRS now instead.
